1 2 3 4 5, I'm ALIVE

Dear Jeepers,

Today is your 5th birthday. Holy smokes. They always say that the time flies...but as a wise Pediatrician once said...the days are long and the years are short...and that is for sure.

This was a big year for you...here are some of the highlights:

- You became obsessed with fires - camfire, gunfire, fireworks whatever, you love it
- You got your own library card and wrote your name on the back, legibly
- You learned how to ride a 2 wheeler
- You learned how to zip up your own jacket and get yourself dressed
- You learned how to sneak in the middle of me & dad at 4 in the morning and take up the entire bed
- You went on your first trip out of the country with your very own passport
- You decided that you would rather eat steak than a hamburger at restaurant
- You asked your attractive babysitter to take a shower with you
- You asked your attractive babysitter to marry you
- You made your first debut on The Golf Channel
- You learned how to shoot a basket, catch a baseball with a mitt and run the bases
- You graduated from preschool and had your teachers over for lunch
- You learned how to swim underwater, without help
- You mastered the art of a handstand under water
- You've been swimming in the Carribean sea, Atlantic Ocean and Lake Michigan
- You've met Mickey Mouse, and LOVE the Haunted Mansion
- You have learned how to share and be a good friend to almost everyone
- You know all of the worlds to Mama Mia and have been caught dancing with a friend in his bedroom to the song
- You love breakfast food -- especially hashbrowns
- Your fondness for peanut butter is stronger than ever
- You are great at sleeping in
- You love LEGOS
- You lost your bluey, but have replaced it with yellowey (not on my watch, for the record)
- You actually enjoy eating your peas
- Your favorite book is "Petoskey Stone Soup" or "Up North at the Cabin" and you still snuggle for stories
- You try to get me to buy you a toy EVERY SINGLE time we go to a store
- You became a big brother, and other then trying to turn down the monitor to try hide Suse crying so I can spend more time with you, you kinda like her
- You tell me and dad that you love us everyday...and we love you too.
