24 hours in the life of a part-time mom...

dinner with a friend, return at Walmart, shopping with money from return at TJMaxx, glass of wine and a TJMaxx recap at friends house, a long dark ride home to my little house on walnut grove, squeezing into bed between a snoring husband, a dog who thinks she's my husbands wife and a freshly bathed 2-year old in fuzzy pajamas, midnight acrobatics from the 2-year old and way to much ear flopping and scratching from the dog, a way to early alarm clock from my husband and the sound effects of a mad search through his drawer for a "good" pair of socks and underware, triple checking that the deadbolts are locked before showering, screaming for Jeepers from the shower just to make sure he hasn't escaped to play in the sprinkler and dirt wearing his pj's with feet in them, bribing a 2-year old into his clothes with chocolate so I can get him to daycare and get to work by 9 A.M., the very sad face of a 2-year old left at daycare, a morning packing boxes in my bosses office, a binge at Burger King for lunch, guilt all afternoon about the n0n-Weight Watchers friendly lunch binge at Burger King, contemplating purging all afternoon, packing more boxes, driving across town to pick-up a germy crabby kid who gets carsick on the way home, cleaning up carsickness, ignoring crabby pukey child while making dinner, finding crabby pukey kid with large bucket of bubbles and a plastic gun in the garage, making dinner, scolding dog, making dinner again after the dog eats the first dinner, playing outside, ignoring child while talking to the neighbor, scolding child for putting rocks in the their new irrigation piping that hasn't been buried yet, being assaulted by a 2-year old because it is time to go in, take a bath and put on jammies -- can't bribe with chocolate because I threw it away as punishment for eating Burger King for lunch, a movie and popcorn on the couch with a snuggly 2-year old who knows all of the words and wants to sit on your lap. :)
